She took his hand without really thinking much of it, letting him pull her up. Her pants were covered in mud but she didn't really notice. His smile made her smile and there was really just nothing she could do about it.
"It's okay."
This was strange. How many times had she run into this guy? Jonas... right? Here she was, standing right in front of this boy she barely knew and she wasn't running away. In fact, her hand was still in his. It actually took her a moment to really notice that. When she did she blushed a bit, glancing away and slowly pulling her hand back. It was actually a very simple, smooth motion. And somehow she still managed to slip again.

Her hand was rather small in comparison to his. Something he noticed. She was so small. Soft too. He was really not used to touching other people. Other than parents the closest he got to people was bumping them in the hall. He nodded.
. . .Right. She needed to take her hand back. It surprised him a bit when she did. He hadn't expected it. His hand was comfortable holding hers there. Then she move. And he realized it was what was supposed to happen.
Though she wasn't supposed to slip. He reacted without thinking. Quickly catching her before she could fall again. Glad his feet had been planted well on the ground. Otherwise they both may have gone down.

Apparently her boots had no traction. Or Professor Suzuki's mud was just good mud.
She gasped, eyes wide in surprise at her feet slipping out from under her. Before she could even realize she was doing it she grabbed onto his arms. The ones that had also moved to catch her. She didn't fall and now she was very close to Jonas. For a moment she didn't notice, the rain and the atmosphere making her laugh again at her clumsiness.

He almost let himself laugh too. Almost. A smile got out. It was actually pretty funny. She was a little clumsy today.
He'd think about the situation and probably freak a little. But for now he was preoccupied.
"You need to stop slipping."

She looked up at him, a small smile still playing at the corners of her lips. She nodded as her bangs dripped in her face. The rain was picking up even more.
It couldn't last forever, though. She was very, very close to him. In fact she was right up against him. Touching him. Her hands on his arms holding her. He was warm and she was getting colder but that wasn't enough reason to stay in the position she was in. Her cheeks, already pink from the cold turned a bit of a darker shade and she planted her feet better to stand up on her own. She stepped back, rubbing her arms.
"I-I um... the mud..."
There she was. Back to Rini.

His stomach made a very slight squirm. Like it was trying to tell him something. But before he could figure out what it was saying she moved. And he had to change his position.
He cleared his throat and nodded.
"I know."
Any other thought about it would have been stupid. Wishful thinking. Not that there was a wish. It was just thinking.
"You're alright...?"

She blinked, looking up at him. Alright? What wouldn't be alright? Her wet jeans and feet were starting to make her cold but yes, she was just fine. She nodded, though she couldn't seem to get the sudden shivering to die down.

"You should go inside."
Of course he noticed the shivering. How could he not. Some things were obvious. Especially when you were paying attention.

She blinked again. A couple of times. Obviously she was confused. Was he telling her what to do?
"What?"
Another blink.
"I-I'm okay."

"You're wet."
He wasn't looking at her any more. If he did he might not keep talking. She needed to do something before she got sick.

One more blink.
Her arms were still wrapped around herself and she didn't know why he was looking away from her. He was right, though. She was beginning to be very, very wet and the rain didn't seem like it was anywhere close to stopping.
"I-I'm okay... really..."
Was he worried about her? Was it wrong that she kind of hoped he was?

"Um..."
He paused for a moment or two, thinking.
"I should probably go in."
He was soaked. But that didn't stop him from shrugging off his coat. Or pulling his wand out to dry it. And shove it into her hands, the coat that is.
And he started to back away.
"Don't get too wet..."

She wasn't prepared for that. At all. Before she knew this boy who kept wandering into her life had managed to get his dry coat into her hands and was getting away. Her eyes widened, staring at the coat and then quickly looking back up at him.
"W-wait! Jonas! Don't you...?! You'll get wet!"

He cleared his throat, turning, still heading away.
"Already wet!"
No. He wasn't about to stop. It was his getaway plan.
