For seventeen Sindri wasn't the tallest guy in the world, but he was tall enough. Not quite five ten, but getting there. It worked for him, though. It matched his messy brown hair. Even his eyes, which were nothing like his mothers. While Elian had bright, clear, stunning blue eyes her son had nothing similar. They were a dark green. Very flat in tone. Light didn't exactly sparkle off of them in quite the way hers did. But he was okay with that. Sindri was okay with everything physical about himself. He found no point in being self conscious with silly things like physical features when they didn't affect how you treated people.
No, that didn't mean he didn't want to look nice. Of course he did. But he wasn't going to fret about it. If he looked snazzy, he looked snazzy. If he hadn't tried that day, well he had a personality to back himself up. It just wasn't a thing.
And yes, he liked attractive people. But if they had the personality they could be the ugliest thing on the planet and he'd love them.
He held the door open for his friend.
"-so I told her the hippogriff card cost five less and she got mad. Threw popcorn on my head and stomped off."
Sindri sighed, adjusting the bag on his shoulder, and shook his head. Weekends were good days. They could hang around town and not have to worry about missing class. Just curfew.

You know what was so cool about Sindri not being five ten yet? Skye was. In fact, he was well on his way to five eleven. Take that bitches. Actually, as far as Skye was concerned he agreed with his friend. Life was too short to be afraid of your looks. You were who you were and there was no way you could change it. Not really. The only things people were allowd to be vain about were the things they had control over. Things like haircuts, piercings, etc. But even then, obsessing never gets you anywhere. Skye loved his piercings but there were just so many more important things in life. Like who was paying for drinks today. Oh well. He'd worry when they got there.
He rolled his eyes a bit, walking through the door without a second thought. Other guys probably would have been irked but that just wasn't who they were.
"People."
Slipping through the crowd in the busy pub, Skye wandered towards whatever table came first; eventually sitting near the back at a table with two chairs. All they needed.
"So, I guess I did better on that essay than I thought."

Piercings were wonderful. Really they were. Pain wasn't a problem. Sindri would have loved to have a million piercings...if he didn't get bored with ones he had and take them out. Only to decide he wanted them again later. He needed Skye around to make sure he didn't scar himself up too bad. Well, mostly around the lips. He couldn't decide where he wanted his lip ring to be. So he moved it on occasion.
Anyways! Off topic!
"Yeah."
He nodded in agreement, following his friend through the door and the table. Taking a seat he stretched a bit with a slight yawn before responding.
"You guess?"

Such a pretty face. His friend was going to ruin it someday he knew it.
Shrugging, Skye took the seat across from him, probably getting too comfortable. One of them was going to have to go get drinks eventually.
"I didn't try that hard."
He smirked, chuckling a bit to himself like he had his own private joke. Actually he did. The subject was Defense.
"I don't think I talked about magic once."

Probably. But who cares, right? As long as it was fun on the way.
"Well whatever you get-"
He shrugged a bit, pulling off his coat and slinging it behind him on the chair. Yes, far too comfortable.
"-it's probably better than any score I have or ever will get."
Modesty? Maybe. You'll never know.

Another shrug, ignoring the usual comment from his friend. They both could probably have been doing better in school.
"I haven't gotten that look yet, though, so I guess it's fine."
He hadn't worn a coat. True, it was a little chilly outside but he kind of liked it. Like dipping your bare feet into the cool lake. It was refreshing. He leaned back a bit, up onto the back to legs of his chair. It happened. A lot.
"So, who paid last time?"

Oh, Sindri knew it happened. A lot. That was just who Skye was. Everyone who knew him knew that.
And while yes, Sindri's mother was in fact a Professor, that didn't mean he had to do anything more than pass his classes. Which he was. He had proficient grades. They weren't top of the class or anything. He forgot to do his homework at times. Sue him. He remembered a lot of important things. The things you needed to know in life. He'd survived.
"S'good."
Another nod and he leaned forward on the table. Who payed?
"Um...Good question. I don't remember."
. . .
"Odds and evens?"

He paused, dropping his chair back onto the ground and leaning forward on the table.
"Odds"

He grinned. Pausing to think for a second before nodding. Okay.
"Alright. One, two, three, shoot~"
He held out two fingers. Come on evens~

One, two, three~
Four fingers.
"Damnit."
He stood up and began making his way through the crowd to the counter.

Sindri liked games. He was good at games. They were a lot of fun. Generally, he carried a deck of cards around with him. Just in case he needed them. You never knew when you'd need cards. Sometimes people want to play games. Sometimes your mother needs to borrow them for divination. It happens.
"Sweet."
He grinned, watching him off.
"Don't forget ginger~"

Of course it wasn't fair. It never was. Sindri just knew things, it's how he was. But that was just them. Neither of them cared much for school but Sindri was good with chance and divination and Skye had a dead on memory and a certain knack for potions. Together they could fight crime.
He waved him off without even looking back.
"Yeah yeah," and he dissapeared into the crowd.

They could fight crime. And neither of them would be the side kick. They'd be co-heros. Because they're that awesome.
"Thanks sweetie!"
He grinned a bit wider, watching him off. How he loved his drink with ginger in it.

He called back, on the way up to the bar, "Anytime, babe."
Stopping at the counter, Skye leaned against it lazily, never in any mood to push in front of people. He could wait his turn. Actually, when a pair of girls walked up after him he waved them ahead, giving up his turn. It was just how he was. After a while when no one else was ordering he ordered two butterbeers, one with ginger, and made his way back to the table. Hm. His path dissapeared...

While he was away Sindri got a little bored and decided to people watch. People were interesting. They did all sort of odd things. It was really amusing. He smiled a bit, waiting for his friend to get back.
And when he was in eye sight he fluttered his eyes at him.
