She glanced up her again, quirking an eyebrow. A newbie? That was interesting. Not interesting enough but she still noted it.
Fiddling with her glass, Cerys shrugged again. A heavy sigh said that she wasn't really emotional about it, just tired. "I promise it's not that fascinating. Probably not even a real reason to be having a crummy day."

"If it'll make you feel better you can tell me." She picked up her glass and took a good long drink. She'd been standing for a while. And she'd an annoyingly long essay to write. That was only one third written. Needless to say she wouldn't be sleeping much. Thanks Professor Darcy, you're a doll.
She set the glass down with a shrug. "But if it won't it's no skin off my back. It doesn't change how my day goes. Just yours."

She smirked again, shaking her head and sighing.
"Just an inconvenient blast from the past."

"Sounds lovely. How inconvenient by way of person, or by way of situation?"
She swore she wasn't a nosey person. Just sometimes. And it wasn't like she was asking a lot.

Cerys supposed she should feel special? She ran her fingers through her hair again, still finding herself leaning over the counter. The whiskey hadn't been a lot but it least it calmed her down a bit.
"Person. I think. I don't know, I used to know him..."

"I see."
A nod followed by a headshake. Apparently her head movements were bipolar. Running into someone you didn't want to? Yeah.
"And it's someone you would rather not have seen. I can identify with that."

She nodded, dropping her head into her hand for a moment for a groan.
"This is just so damn frustrating. As if things aren't hard enough right now."

"Things are hard?"
She absently walked back to grab the bottle of fire whiskey. Coming back already pouring a glass and setting it down in front of her.
"Don't worry. It's on me. They'll never know."

She didn't move until she came back, glancing up at the glass. Obviously she was confused but she said it was on her so she decided to take it. Besides, she needed it.
"Thank you."
She tipped it her way before knocking it back. Another slight face at the kick but the warm feeling was feeling better and better. Coughing slightly she spoke up again, finding herself more and more open.
"Business is down. It's always rough during the school year but... I don't know. I'm way behind on my rent."

If Angel wanted to she could get the girl plastered. It wouldn't take much. Just a few drinks on her. Not an admirable trait. She sincerely hoped she wasn't like this outside of bad days. That could prove disastrous.
"Business? What business do you have?"
She wasn't sure if she meant the business she ran or the business she worked for. But it was always more flattering to assume ran. So she did. It was a diplomatic thing.

Really she didn't normally drink like this. Cerys would take anything right now, though. It was probably a good thing she was nearby. She took a sip of her water again.
"I own the wand shop above Jenkin's."

"Really?"
Wow. That was something pretty nifty. Or atleast that's what Angel thought.
"I would imagine you'd have tons of repairs to take care of, right now?"

She sighed, shaking her head again and sipping at her water.
"You'd think. Right now I'm working on one in particular."
Was the tone enough to say who's exactly it was?

"Ah. I see. I don't suppose that's going smoothly, huh?"
She couldn't really imagine the situation. She was never in a place where she had to do something like that. Most of the people she didn't want to see were across the ocean or in her family.

She shrugged, slumping over the counter more. Her hand was up in her hair now, holding her head up.
"It's going fine..."
