September 23rd - Tuesday
The Mandrake Persona, a high level Herbology class on mandrakes, their developemental stages, how to care for them, why they do what they do, what to use them for, well, you get the idea. To teach a class on Mandrakes however, you need to have mandrakes.
Erin had five. It was sort of a small class.
Hair pulled into a mess of a bun on the back of her head, Erin was busy taking care of the young roots. They were nowhere near fully grown and needed quite a bit of care. They lived in the back of the classroom, far away from where the students sat. She didn't need anyone getting bit and she didn't need them disturbing her other classes.
Now, though, classes were out and Erin was busy in the back, feeding and taking care of the fussy baby plants. Holding one of the smaller of the mandrakes in her arms, she sat on the edge of the garden hand fed it the liquid fertilizer and nutrients it needed out of a bottle. For now it had no teeth and needed a little extra help. However, she still wore the earmuffs she needed not to get knocked out by its occasional screams. They were white and fluffy and she liked them. As for the rest of her outfit, she was wearing a simple white flowery dress and brown flat boots that almost matched her thick gardening gloves but not really. And no on purpose.

Mandrake persona was not a class that Izzy took. Though you wouldn't believe it he only took one herbology class. It had nothing to do with his major, future profession, or anything. It was purely for personal reasons. Everyone knew it anyways. The only reason he took herbology was so he could be close to Erin. He was willing to pay for that. He was willing to do a lot of things for that.
He also took every chance he could to visit her. Between classes, after practice. Any time he could. He was addicted. And there was nothing he could do about it.
He'd just finished a mandatory meeting Sterling held. Pre-game strategy and all that. Not practice, since Sterling had a class. Once a week, so he couldn't miss it. That suited everyone fine. He tended to overwork everyone around games.
So now he'd decided was a perfect time to visit Erin. So he did. Entering her room. Mindlessly adjusting the jacket he was wearing. It was rather cold outside, unlike indoors. But he hadn't adjusted to the temperature yet.
There she was. Feeding a mandrake baby. Cute. Hm...Maybe he should grab some earmuffs...

It probably would have been a good idea. The little mandrake was eating so it probably wouldn't cry anytime soon but he should probably play it safe.
Rocking the plant lightly in her arms, Erin continued feeding the little guy. It was smaller than the others and she was trying to bulk it up a bit before the next class. It was a good thing for her to show them in class but now she needed to get it going with the others. It was kind of nice. She liked taking care of the plants, even the ones that didn't have as much personality as the mandrakes here. It was soothing and comfortable and something she was always good at.
She hadn't noticed Izzy had entered the room yet, just that a bit of hair had fallen into her face. She brushed it away and continued feedng.

He stood there, watching her. It was extremely cute. He couldn't help it. She was just...well. She was just the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen in his life. Staring was mandatory.
It was starting to get warm, but he didn't mind yet. Clearing his throat wouldn't do anything, he knew she couldn't hear. He glanced around for earmuffs....Eh. Chances it would scream while eating were slim.
He made his way over and carefully tapped her on the shoulder.

Erin probably wouldn't have noticed him at all. When it came to her work she always got caught up, even when it came to something as persistent as Izzy.
She was busy readjusting it in her arms when Izzy made his second mistake. His first mistake was not putting on the earmuffs. Why? Because she didn't know he was there and she really didn't expect him to tap her on the shoulder. Long story short Erin jumped and that disrupted the mandrake in her lap. Which started to scream.

Apparently he was full of mistakes. He didn't see any earmuffs in direct line of sight so he just figured...Wrong apparently.
Isadore Padden would like to say that he is strong enough to withstand the cry of a mandrake. That it has no affect on him whatsoever. And he laughs at the thought of it all.
Izzy would like to amend, however, that he is not that strong. He doubts anyone is. And he would also like to add that grounds are hard. And passing out is a very bizarre feeling.

If he was looking at her before he passed out, then the last thing he would have seen was a very horrified look on Erin's face as she leapt up from the ledge. There was nothing she could do to help him but...
"Isadore!"
He hit the ground before she could even think about stopping him. Quickly repotting the mandrake, she rushed to his side. Though she already knew exactly what was wrong, she couldn't help but be worried. He had also hit his head. As for the mandrake's scream, however, Erin knew that one of the best cures was rest. Pulling out her wand -she knew she could never lift him on her own-, Erin levitated him into her bedroom and moved the blankets to lay him down. He would have a headache when he woke up so, after covering him up, she set off to make him some tea from a plant she had in her garden.

It wasn't the first time he'd passed out. At Hogwarts he'd been hit in the head with a bludger once or twice. Or just plain hit and knocked off to hit the ground. Point is, he'd done this dance before. Not his favorite. But he knew the steps pretty well. The headache. The sore spots. The time lapse. Sometimes he had little dreams. Other times he didn't. This was a dreamless time.
Maybe it made the time between out and awake go by faster. Maybe it didn't. Either way. The last thing he saw was Erin. Thats what he wanted the first thing to be. Except the first thing he saw was light. Which made him cringe and close them again, with a slight groan.

Erin's room was just as plant covered as the rest of the greenhouse she lived in, only in there it was flowers. Every sort of flower you could possibly imagine. Magical and otherwise. The whole room was an explosion of colour and the sweet scent of flowers. Her bed was in the middle, a queen-sized bed covered with pillows and her over sized comforter all pinks and purples and floral and very, very Erin. The bedside tables were the same white frame as her bed, as covered in flowers as the headboard of her bed, though with framed pictures of her and her family. Same with the chest at the foot of her bed, charmed to hold all of her clothing in a small space, though without the pictures. The walls were lined with the same long planter boxes as the rest of the greenhouse.
Erin was heading back from making his tea, not quite back or aware that he was even awake.

After a moment or two he opened his eyes again. Carefully. It hurt. A bit light sensitive for the moment. Yeah. He hit his head alright. It was throbbing. He slid his hand up to lightly rub the sensitive spot where he assumed he had hit. Ow.
His eyes were taking everything in, carefully. The flowers, the bed, the furniture. Where was he? Wait...Right. He was visiting Erin...Which meant he was either in an alternate universe where he was a plant loving girl....or this was Erins room. He sat up a bit, his head still trying to kill him from the inside.

What? She liked plants, they made her feel good and living around plants was good for you. They put off good energy.
Carrying his tea on a tray, she slipped into the bedroom, not expecting to find him awake. She was quite surprised to see that he was and though she was able to keep herself from running over and hugging/sobbing her apologies she did get that look on her face that said she would if she wasn't carrying a tray of hot tea.
"Are you alright, Isadore?"
She spoke softly, afraid to irritate his headache as she set the tray next to him on the bed. Sitting straight and stiff, she was obviously worried he was both hurt and upset with her.

And there was Erin. Looking worried as hell. It made him a bit sad. To make her worry that much. He was fine. It was just a stupid move on his part. He nodded, and instantly regretted it. Ow.
"I'm fine. Teach me to sneak in on a mandrake."
He gave her a bit of a smile. A joke. That's how he was trying to tell her everything was fine. He wasn't mad. It was his fault. Entirely.

She nodded, even if she did still feel bad, he was acting like it was okay so she supposed she had to too. Well, she would try at least.
"Here."
She poured him a cup of the tea and carefully handed it over. It wasn't going to taste very good but she wasn't going to tell him that.
"Drink this, it'll help your headache."

He nodded, taking the cup.
"Thank you."
He didn't take a sip yet. Instead he looked around a little bit more. Then he took his sip.
". . ."
Did the look on his face tell her anything?

Oh yeah, she knew that face very well. She couldn't help but giggle a little bit at it. What? It was cute.
"I'm sorry~"
And she really was, his face was just making her laugh a little.
"But it will make the headache go away."
She sighed softly, that worried look finding its way back on her face. Lifting her hand, she rested it on his arm, looking straight at him.
"Are you sure you're alright?"
