Alexander: He chuckled a bit.
Cute.
Birdy: "I-I did! A little..."
She glanced down at her paper and back up at her, knowing full well she messed up most of it. She held it up to show her the things she had scribbled out, not wanting at all to say them in front of the class.

"My eyes aren't that good, Birdy. You'll have to tell me what the paper says."
Mean? Probably. But she needed to do these things so Birdy would actually study. Otherwise she'd have to endure this.

Brin: Harsh. Seriously.
He needed to know.
Birdy: "But-"
She looked, desperately up at her. Nothing at all about what she wrote on the paper made her want to speak up. She ran her fingers through her hair, slouching and staring at her paper again.
Back to Aqui.
"I need more time~"

Harsh or not. It happened.
"You had time, Birdy. You wrote something down. What was it?"
She knew it wasn't Quidditch. So what had she written.

Alexander: It was harsh, but he knew Aqui wouldn't be doing it for no reason. It wasn't his place to interject.
Birdy: Part of it was! See?! Right there!
The rest of it though..?
"I..."
She looked back down at her paper and back up at Alexander. She was meek and quiet when she finally spoke.
"You never wanted to be a dancer... did you..?"

There it was. The real answer that Birdy got. Aqui didn't smile. She didn't laugh. She merely looked over at Alexander, waiting for an answer.
Though it was pretty comical.
Jonas:
. . .He most certainly did not get that as an answer.

Brin: Really? Neither did he. Oh Birdy...
Alexander: He blinked, apologetic, and shook his head.
"Sorry, no."
Birdy: He was talking to her. Alexander Suzuki was talking to her and she was making a complete idiot of herself. She hated this class. And herself.
Miserable, she sunk into her chair, slouching as low as she could.

"I believe you put a two instead of a four, Birdy. Simple mistake. And now you know."
If she was in her right mind she may have gotten it.
"Anyone a little more confident in their answer?"
Deciding not to draw this out any longer, they were on a schedule after all, she called on one of the more studious girls. Nothing against Birdy. But this girl was an Arithmancy majour. She had to have the right answer, or she'd have to hear it from Aqui. The girl proceeded to spout of something or other about Alexander. In turn, being correct.

Alexander: He watched Birdy for a moment before switching over to listen to the other girl. He smiled a little. True. And was that so? He still had dreams it seemed, nothing new to him but it was still interesting to hear.
He stayed in his spot, listening to Aqui teach her class until the end. He had always kind of hated Arithmancy in school but now that he wasn't in the hot seat it wasn't so bad. He couldn't do it but it was fun to watch.
Brin: Quietly took his notes in his seat in the back of the class, no longer interested in Birdy's usual antics and not all that interested in Alexander either. He was working for a grade.
Birdy: She stayed slumped in her seat, taking scribbled notes and not looking up again.

The second the little Alexander part of her lesson was over she moved on. They were starting something new tomorrow. She explained what it would be about and all that. But they didn't get anything more than that. She did give a few people looks that said if they weren't there they were going to fail the class.
Plain and simple.
Birdy may have been one of them.
And Alexander just ddn't know how fun Arithmancy really was.

Brin: Something new. Fun. He would be there. Brin very, very rarely missed class.
Birdy: Yeah, she felt it. She didn't see it but she felt it. She would be there, don't worry.
Class over she moved to gather up her things. She would just slink out quietly in a minute, okay?
Alexander: He stood up, stretching a bit now that he could. Classes were too long. He remembered why he didn't go to college now.
"Still a big bad teacher. You know, I skipped classes like yours."

New things were always fun. Especially with Arithmancy. She was glad she didn't have a class after this. She didn't need him interrupting more than one. Glancing over, she quirked an eyebrow.
"You probably failed classes like mine."
Jonas:
If anyone was going to slip out quietly, it was him. And that's just what he did.

Brin: Nod for Aqui. And out.
Alexander: He smirked at Aqui then glanced over to spot Birdy trying to get out. He slipped away to get to her before she could leave.
"Hey."
Birdy: She stopped dead in her tracks, eyes widening a bit. She knew that voice. How could she not? It took her a moment to turn around but when she did she stared up at him like an idiot. She didn't mean to, but there was nothing she could do.
Alexander: He tried to be unthreatening, really.
"When does the team practice?"
Birdy: mjklfhndjwklerhnjkwhat? Was that a question? Was she supposed to answer? Why wasn't she talking?
Merlin he was cute...

Aqui busied herself with her papers and things before looking up at the pro quidditch player harassing her student. It was actually pretty funny. Just how flustered she became.
After a moment she spoke up.
"Alexander, let the girl alone for a minute. She needs time to remember."

He ignored her, waiting for Birdy to answer.
Birdy: She continued to stumble for a thought, cheeks turning red at Aqui's addition to the conversation.
"Seven!"
Gah, volume.
"W-we are practice at seven."
Alexander: There we go. He knew she could do it. He nodded in response, ignoring the changes in volume.
"Would you tell your captain I'm stopping by?"
He shouldn't assume she wasn't captain but Aqui didn't say anything about it so it was all he had to go by.
Birdy: She stared for about a million years. Did he just say what she thought he did? He was coming to practice? Really? She had heard he visited every so often but he had never, ever come to practice.
She nodded. And nodded. And nodded some more.
