He turned his mind off of the people around them. He had to. They didn't know him, he didn't know them. In a few hours this would all go away as long as he didn't do anything that would make them remember him. Jonas let her take the book, nodding. Then stood up.
"Alright, then." He added softly, nodding again. The line had moved.

She nodded, keeping her eyes lowered. She didn't care about her stomach anymore. They were all looking at her. She agreed. They didn't need to be looking at her. They didn't need to be noticing her at all. She adjusted the books, and nodded again before quickly turning and shuffling away. Away from him. Away from the people. Away from from the food she had wanted before. She didn't care about her noisy roommate. She was going to hide in her dorm for about a week.

He watched her go momentarily, before pulling his book back out. He advanced the line, finally at the food. Getting the lunch he really didn't need. He pondered to himself as he chose his meal. I wonder if books make good pets...
