The one thing that sucked about any form of schooling was the mandatory classes you had to take. They made working on what you really wanted difficult. Yes, they were supposed to help you decide on your career, but when you already knew what you were going to do it was just annoying.
Valentine didn't get how Olivia did it. Really.
But that was unimportant! She was passing her classes. Olivia would probably have killed her if she was close to failing. But Valentine was actually rather smart. And if she finished her regular work she'd let herself do what she really wanted to.
Which was study mermish. And animals. And everything that possibly could have to do with magizoology.
She had taken up almost an entire table to herself. Books and papers all over it. How she brought them all on her own one would never know. Really her bag was charmed. It held quite a bit more than it looked like it did. Birthday present a few years back.
Valentine scratched the back of her head with one hand, holding a book with the other. Legs up and crossed in her seat.

Olivia took care of those mandatory classes because she had to. Period. It was the motto she lived by. She knew that all she could do was work as hard as she possibly could to get what she wanted and not rely on anyone else to do it for her. She was going to get where she wanted to be and she didn't care how hard it was.
Of course, like Denny, Valentine didn't count. Olivia loved her parents because they were her parents but she fully intended to leave and never come back when her life took off. She wouldn't leave her sister behind though. She cared about her sister as much as she cared about her career. Wether she would admit it out loud or not.
"So this is what you do when we're supposed to have lunch?"
She crossed her arms, looking down at her sister and her table full of papers. At least the over studying made them actually look like they were related.

Olivia's voice startled her, but that didn't mean she looked up immediately. She had to finish the paragraph. If not...well. She may or may not have lost her place, she didn't know. Because she always finished.
"I ate."
Sort of.
"I had an apple."
That counted as food enough, right? She wasn't that hungry, so it didn't matter. She wasn't doing too much physical today, so her body didn't need it. Not a lot burning off. . . .She really didn't think about these things unless she had to make an excuse. So she was planning ahead for Olivia.
And of course they were related. They looked it...a little. Valentine was just a little bit....less there than her sister. She was pale. And a redhead. And she looked nothing like her. . . .Yeah.

She frowned, hands on her hips now, always standing just right. There must have been a time in her life when she had to work at the way she looked and acted but she really couldn't remember. The hip juts just happened and the sexy poses were natural. She flipped a bit of hair over her shoulder.
"Not good enough. I'm getting you real food."
She would be back in a moment without question. She wouldn't take Valentine's excuses and rationalisations. She needed to eat better and she needed to take care of herself better. It didn't take her long to grab them both a couple of salads and some soup. Don't worry, no meat for either of them.
As for looking alike? Olivia would smack that girl up alongside the head if she heard what she was thinking. They looked quite a bit like eachother except for hair colour and attitude. Their eyes were different too but they had the same lips. And it wasn't more, just different.

"But-!"
And there she went. There was no stopping her. It was nice, really. That she cared. Olivia really was a caring sister. Valentine was sure she didn't deserve her.
Though she wasn't so caring to other people. It was rather funny.
She wasn't thinking anything bad about herself. Just highly of her sister.

Well she still needed to quit it. They were different, yes, but still a lot... well, a little alike. They were sisters. That was all that mattered.
Back with the tray of food, she quirked an eyebrow at all the papers and books still in her way. She felt she didn't have to say anything. They needed to go.

She set down her book with a bit of a sigh, uncrossing her legs. After a moment or two of stacking and clearing there was an empty spot. Big enough for the food to be set down. Olivia wouldn't be hindered by papers.
"Thank you." She actually meant it. She was a little hungry...Apples weren't as filling as they should have been.
