Raven nodded as she listened to him, playing idly with the corner of a piece of parchment as she watched him, rubbing it between her thumb and forefinger. "Astronomy, that's interesting," she didn't know anything about Astronomy, other than the things she learned from Divination. "I'm a Potions major," she offered with a smile.

Rini never was very good with potions, but she thought they were interesting. And as for astronomy, she had a class or two, but it usually corrosponded with her transfiguration work. She did take a very interesting history astronomy joint class once though...
But anyways. She successfully slipped out of the conversation and she was quite proud of herself. Opening her pink notebook up again, she opened up to the page she was on, getting back to work.

"Potions? Wow. Now there is something I could just never do." He laughed softly, shaking his head. "I tend to...overcook things."
He set the book down, opening it without looking at it. He glanced momentarily at the other girl, wondering if she would join in.

Raven, in the face of Dawson West, had completely forgotten the other girl. It wasn't as if she had put in effort to stop it from happening, anyway. Raven glanced at the girl, back at her work, and then back at Dawson. Her stomach was twisted.
"I suppose it's something you have a knack for, or you don't," she said with a shrug, downplaying all of the hard work that she put into her potions. She didn't want him to think, or know, that she was a huge geek, after all.

The answer? No. She would not. She didn't mind, though. She just wanted to do her homework in peace and quiet. And then all the tables were full. But, as long as these two were talking maybe it wouldn't be a problem.
She moved on to the next page.

He watched her, smiling some. And occasionally glanced at the other girl, still wondering. Dawson looked back at Raven and laughed a little, "I definitely do not have a knack for it. That is certain."

"Are you in any potions courses?" she asked him. She knew his name, and his quidditch stats, but past that, she was in the dark, so she had no idea of what year he was and, therefore, whether or not he was still stuck taking general courses. "Because if you are, I fancy myself a rather good tutour, and my services are free of charge." She had almost not mustered up the courage to say it, but it had found itself somewhere deep down and sputtered out of her mouth. She hoped it wasn't too obvious that she was ready to die a thousand deaths of happiness if he accepted the half-offer.

She felt the glances and tried to ignore them, but then, as the talk started turning flirtier and leaning towards the date side she really couldn't see herself staying much longer. She started gathering up her things. Of course, the pink notebook wasn't happy, but she managed to wrestle it shut again, slipping it into the pile.

"I am in a potions class." He had taken one before. But his marks weren't very good. He couldn't accept that, so he decided to take it again. "You'd tutor me, really?"
He smiled. "That would be great. I don't suppose you're good at potions too?" He glanced over at the other girl, who seemed to be getting ready to leave.

Raven glanced at her, too, waiting for a response. She wondered why the girl seemed so ready to leave, but chalked it up to introversion. While Raven was no social butterfly, she liked to think herself to be polite and somewhat friendly, though reserved. The girl hadn't said two words the entire time, and now she was about to fly the coop? Strange.

That was pretty much it, yes. All kinds of introversion. The only kinds of social interraction she really thought she needed was with her professors, her cousin, her roommate (she suppose; when she had to) and the objects she animated, like her rowdy notebook here.
Tucking her books away she slipped quietly out of her chair and without even so much as a thank you or goodbye she shuffled off and out of the library.

He watched her go, completely baffled. "Have a nice day.." he called after her. Odd. Really odd. He turned his attention back to Raven.
"That was....Interesting."

Raven smiled nervously and nodded. "She must be shy," she said quietly, trying to pretend that the statement wasn't really a perfect definition of herself. After a second, she shrugged. "And yes, of course I would tutour you." She smiled.
