She knew he was, and that was why she gave him another sigh.
"All of it? Isadore, I know you understand this."

"I work better with help. Plus you explain extremely well."
Had he mentioned he liked it when she used his name? he did.

She did use his name, but she didn't use his nickname. He was her student and besides it would get his hopes up, at least, that's what she decided.
She paused, and finally gave in. She usually did.
"Okay, you have your books?"

Her using his name was different. Not many people called him Isadore. He liked it when she said it.
"Books? Er..." That wasn't a lie. He'd forgotten. Completely. Call it 'lack of complete plan.'

Yet another sigh. She sighed at him a lot, it seemed.
"Okay."
She paused, thinking to herself and looking around. She finally decided to just take him over to the plant they were talking about.
"Okay, this is one of the carniverous plants we're learning about you remember, right?"

He'll do whatever she wants him to. Really.
"Yes. The one that wants to eat me." He nodded.

She couldn't help but giggle a little at that.
"Well keep your fingers away from its mouth!"
Erin moved around to lean over, petting the top of the plant's head. It didn't even think about chomping on her fingers.
"I asked you all to write an essay about uses for the plants root. Do you remember any of the ones we talked about in class?"

He smiled. Her laugh was beyond adorable. Her giggle.
"Root? Nope." He shook his head, pulling up a seat and getting comfy. To learn.

Yes, that was yet another sigh. She leaned against the wall of the garden next to it to face him.
"Were you paying attention at all this week?"

"Sort of." He did. Really he did. In class. But occasionally everything slipped out later. He had Quidditch to attend to. He couldn't think of other things.

She hopped up to sit on the wall, crossing one leg over the other.
"Well, a few days ago we started talking about the two carniverous plants that look almost exactly alike. Do you remember the difference between this plant-"
She layed a hand on the one next to her on the right.
"-and this one?"
She motioned to the one a little down to the left.

"Um.....One's really poison?" He'd seriously forgotten. Great.

She nodded, hoping he could elaborate. When he didn't she did it for him.
"But only if you eat a good amount of them depending on your size. Right? They look this way to trick animals. The other plant is not poisonous at all. And you can tell the difference by-"
She waited.

". . .petals?. . . leaves?" He was surprised he got the first one right. He wasn't counting on the one.

"Colour pattern? Isadore?"
She pointed out the shape of the colouring that was slightly off between the two.
