September 22nd - Wednesday
Denise sat down at the table, sliding her food in front of her. It was lunchtime. The time between two of her history classes. She really enjoyed them. The magical world was full of weird things for her to learn about. Some of them seemed impossible. But hey, it was magic.
She grabbed a roll and started picking at it. Denise couldn't help it. That was how she always ate them...

Thank Merlin for lunchtime, Birdy was starving.
Herbology was right before lunch for her and it always made her think about food. Not for any real reason, just that it was boring and sometimes Professor Suzuki talked about food.
Scooting the line, the blonde already had a roll in her mouth, picking things up as she went by. Some soup, a sandwhich, potatoes, crackers, oo, cake! She grabed another roll and slipped off to find a table.
Maybe someone she knew was- Ah.
She set her tray down and sat across from her dormmate.

She had just finished gutting the roll when Birdy showed up.
"Hey." She greeted her roomie. "Feeding a country?"

"Hm?"
She pulled the roll of out her mouth and set it down next to her soup.
"What?"

"All the food. Where do you hide it on yourself?" She pretended to look Birdy over.

She rolled her eyes and took a bite out of her roll.
Birdy liked food. Was that a crime? And besides, it wasn't that much.
"How is class?"
She probably should have swallowed before asking, but she was hungry and she knew Denise didn't care. Okay, so it didn't really matter who she was with.

She smiled, going back to picking at her own roll.
"Class was good. Is good too. And yours?"
Denise picked up her drink. Juice. Cranberry to be precise.

She shrugged, starting in on her soup.
"I have maybe three herbolody essays to write."
She made a face.

"Maybe?" She laughed. "You should know, Birdy. It's sort of important."

She waved it off and went back to eating. She had a lot to get through.

She set down her roll, moving on to the apple she had gotten. Slightly bruised. Oh well.
"So how is everything else?"

She shrugged again, taking another bite of roll.
"Same. I think we will be better for the next game. I have been practicing a lot."
That was how it usually went. Ask Birdy about life and it changed to Quidditch. It was the most important part of it as far as she was concerned.

"Probably. Everyone has been trying really hard. I wouldn't be surprised if we never lose again." She smiled. Denise knew everything with Birdy was Quidditch.

She wasn't done.
"I would be. I think we still need to work a lot harder. But next time we will not let the bludger get close to Keely."
She got started on her potato, not stopping to swallow.
"I just hope it does not rain this Friday."

She laughed.
"That wasn't your fault! Come off it, okay?" Shaking her head she drank some more of her juice. "And it shouldn't rain."
