Olivia was never hugely into Quidditch. She enjoyed a game here and there but it was nowhere near an obsession, or even a hobby. Olivia was more into her studies. Most people probably wouldn't guess from how she looked or even acted somedays, but school was the most important thing to her. She wanted to be the best and she wanted a career. Defense was her majour and she fully intended on getting the best job she could out of it.
Grabbing a salad and a couple of rolls, she brushed a bit of her long brown hair over her shoulder and searched around for a table with an empty seat. She spotted Denise and headed right over.
"If I have to sit through one more class about dangerous vermin in your attic I'm going to scream."
She didn't ask before sitting, she didn't figure it would matter all that much.

She frowned, poking at her food. She wasn't going to keep talking about it, but she was going to keep fussing about it in her head.
"And it might rain."
She was about to go back to her food and grump to herself when some girl she didn't know decided to pull up a chair and start talking. She wasn't talking to her, so maybe she was talking to Denise? Either way she blinked and looked between the two.

"It might not."
She rolled her eyes, playing with her juice. Olivia almost startled her. Almost. Denise caught Birdy's confused look, but decided to give Olivia a quick response before introducing them.
"Vermin can be very dangerous you know." Then to Birdy. "This is Olivia. Olivia, this is Birdy."

She gave Birdy a nod, before talking to Denise again. Obviously this was a recent topic.
"I could step on magical vermin. And I blame all the stupid people in my class who can't remember what we learned the day before."

Birdy gave her a little wave with a hand full of roll. She couldn't help but feel a little snubbed from the conversation.
Oh well, she had food to eat.

Denise wasn't trying to exclude Birdy. She promised.
"Then tell them that, the stepping on thing." She shrugged.

She took a bite of her salad, arching an eyebrow lighly.
"To who? My professor or the dumb students?"
She wasn't snubbing Birdy, not really, she just... well, wasn't all that interested in talking to her. She didn't know her. She didn't even think she had any classes with her.

"Either?" She shrugged, playing with what was left of her apple. She really was sorry for Birdy. She just didn't have any topic for the three of them.

She shrugged, not really caring all that much.
"So,"
If you couldn't see the smirk on her face it was easily heard in her voice.
"How's it going with the mystery man?"

The mystery man Birdy didn't get to know about? She glanced up.

She frowned slightly.
"There is nothing going."
She regretted telling people things. Honestly. What part of secret said 'let's talk about it!'

Everything.
"Nothing? Nothing at all? Have you even talked to him?"
What? She liked gossip. It made good meal conversation.

Birdy wasn't huge on gossip, but she did like to be in the loop every so often. Especially when it came to her teammates.

"Yes I've talked to him. Just not about that." Was she making a face? Maybe.
