September 21st - Tuesday
Class was just ending. Izzy was, of course, near the front. His next class wasn't that important. Which was why, as everyone was leaving, he stayed seated. Slowly collecting his things. He'd rather stay around to spend time with Erin anyhow.
She did make his day, after all.

"Don't forget I want your essays on my desk at the beginning of class!"
They always got away before she could nag.
Avoiding students slipping out of the room, Erin made her way up to her desk to get things set up for her next class coming up. She didn't bother cleaning up their work spaces. Either they should have or the next students could deal.
Now, where did she put her trowel..?
Oh!
"Gordon I still need your homework from last week, I mean it!"
Anyways. Trowel.
Hair tugged up on top of her head, Erin had a few dirt smudges on her green sundress, not to mention the one on her cheek. She didn't look too worse for wear.

Izzy found it endearing. The smudges. They were very true to her nature, and he liked it. He wouldn't want her any other way.
He continued packing up, slowly. Occasionally glancing up at her, and smiling.
"How long was the essay, again?"

She had no idea they were there and no one had told her yet.
She was still searching for her missing trowel. She couldn't remember if she had loaned it to one of the students or if it was still up on her desk. There was a little work she could do while the students were still changing classes.
Slipping over to the workstations, Erin leaned past Izzy absently searching for it.
"Hm?"
She glanced up, still leaning on the table. She had forgotten he was here. Sometimes she got like that, a little absent.
"Three feet."

He smiled, watching her. He liked it when she just lived her life.
"Alright. Three feet." He nodded. All done collecting his things.
Instead of leaving, however, he remained where he was. Smiling.

Leaning even further on the table she went back to searching around, pushing the plants aside and looking past them. It had to be around here somewhere...
No, Erin had not forgotten about their little dinner the other night, but as usual she had pushed it to the back of her mind. Right now she wasn't thinking about it, she wasn't remembering it or trying to analyze it. Right now she had one thing on her mind and that was finding her trowel that she needed to repot a couple of unhappy plants.

He hadn't forgotten either. In fact, he couldn't help but remember. A small part of his mind was blocking a certain part, but other than that it was all over. He wanted to do it again. Maybe he could surprise her some time...
"What are you looking for, Erin?"

She blinked, and looked up at him again. A lot of the time she didn't even realise when he used her first name.
"My trowel. The little pointy one."
She motioned with her hands, still leaning on her elbows.
"And the purple handle."
It was her favourite trowel.

"Where did you leave it?" He stood, fully intent on helping.

"Um..."
She looked around, standing back up fully again.
"I..."
Where was the last place she had it? She'd used it first when she started repotting those plants and then she used it a bit during her next few classes. She had no idea.
"Maybe..."
She started shuffling down the row, trying to wrap her memory around who had had it last.

"Alright. I'll help you look."
He glanced around, then started walking down aisles to see if he could find it. Purple handled trowel...

Erin kept looking, glad that he was helping but not really paying any attention to it. She had gotten used to Izzy being around and most of the time it was comfortable and familiar. Other times it made her want to rip her hair out. It was a toss up, really.
Stopping, she leaned across the table again, nudging plants a side to search.
"Where are you~?"

"Maybe it fell on the floor...?"
And with that he was on the floor, looking around. Maybe it was there. Who knew. Not like scooting around on his knees could be a bad thing.

She blinked, glancing down where she assumed he was on the floor and giggled a little.
"Is it down there?"
She had paused in her looking to wait for an answer, still leaning across the table.

He glanced around a bit, before popping back up. He grinned, pointing a little ways away.
"I found it."
