As much as Denny loved her friends, and dormmate, she needed to be away from it all for a little. She'd homework to do, and they wouldn't stop coming over! No, not all of her friends were close. In fact, only a handful did she truly trust with important things. But she had a lot of friends who were fun to just hang out with. Do the silly things. Which they all seemed to want to do right now. It was a Saturday, and she'd spent the entire night before with her friends. Now she needed time to think over the homework she had due on monday.
And what better place to do that than alone in a cafe, right? Maybe. Either way she knew her friends wouldn't be there at that particular moment. And as much as she loved them she wanted to be were they weren't. Denny would talk to them later. Now was time to be serious.
Walking inside, she adjusted the bag on her shoulder. Thinking about what she wanted to drink.

Judas had been working for almost nine hours now, though it was nearly impossible to tell, because he had as much energy and cheer as the second he walked through the door. Which was a lot. He spun on his heel to fill a few empty cups of coffee here and there, and when he saw a new customer, he moved quickly over to her table, coffee pot still in hand. "Hey, love. What can I get you?" He grinned.

She set her bag down next to her, flipping some hair over her shoulder. He didn't quite startle her. But she really didn't expect him to get there so quickly. She threw him a smile.
Because damn. Just damn.
"I think I'll just have some Chai Tea."

"A personal fave," he said with a smile and he went off to put in her order. He was gone for a few minutes, waiting on other tables while the barista got the chai finished up. When the bell rang, he went over and grabbed the cup and, just as a little treat to her, a raspberry scone. He brought them both to the table. "You look like you need a pick me up," he said, sliding the scone over to her.

She smiled, watching him off. Very cute. Right. Pulling out her book she started reading. Getting some work done would be a good thing.
A page or two in and he returned. With her drink. And a scone. And it made her smile again.
"Thanks. Do I really look like it?" A bit of a laugh.

"Not in a bad way," he said with a smile. "I promise, you look wonderfully healthy. You just look..." he paused, leaning forward and resting his hands on the table. "Angry." He hoped she wasn't insulted.

"As long as it's not in a bad way." She gave a soft laugh, brushing some hair behind her ear. Idly playing with her drink.
"I'm not angry. Promise." So she was coming off a little hostile in her demeanor? Wonderful. "Just....a little stressed by my friends."
She laughed a bit more. It's what she did.

"Oh, friend stress is the worst," he said, taking a seat across from her. This is what he did, he sat down and chatted with his customers. His boss just glanced over, not surprised. It wasn't terribly busy, anyway, what did it matter? "Because you love them, but they just drive you mad, right? Well, I say 'bugger them' for the night, and enjoy a nice scone in a nice place," he grinned.

"Exactly." She smiled, still playing with her drink. "Why is it that you get it, but they can't? If I tried to explain that they'd run around like the world was ending."
Shaking her head she took a sip of her drink. It was good. Another smile. Chai tea was always fantastic.
"I think I will enjoy myself. Too much stress is never a good thing."

"Exactly," he said, rising up as he saw a customer glance around for him. "If there's anything else I can do for you, love, don't hesitate to ask." He smiled and wandered off.

"I will, don't worry." She smiled, watching him walk off, sipping her tea. And in her head she made a very dramatic sigh. Because damn, that guy was gorgeous. Damn. Picking her book back up, she started reading. Occasionally eating bits of her scone, and taking sips of her tea.

Judas made a round to his customers and refilled various cups and plates, he even snagged a slice of pound cake for himself. On a coffee round, Judas sauntered back over to the pretty girl with the chair and took a seat, setting the coffee pot down in front of him. "So, what are you reading?" he asked.

A few more pages into her book before he came back. And about halfway through her cup of tea.
"Hm?" She glanced up and smiled a bit. Then glanced down at her book, as though she'd forgotten. "It's for one of my History classes. In depth Troll rebellion stuff."
It probably sounded lame. Yes, she chose to take history classes.

"Troll rebellions?" he nodded and smiled. "A personal fave, I'll admit. One of the more interesting bits of history. Which is saying something... because history is wicked."

"I'm not sure if I hope you're sarcastic or serious." She mused for a moment or two on it, before smiling again. "I think I'll go with serious."
