He leaned forward a bit, making it a point to catch her eyes.
"I might make an acception."

"An exception?"
She tilted her head a bit, looking right back at him. He was rather attractive she kept noticing.

He smirked, not even thinking about moving.
"Girl's gotta see her books, right?"

"It's true. I haven't really gotten them all memorized yet."
Cute smirk. Cute wasn't really the word. Hot was. But that sounded lame by itself.

His eyes lingered on hers for as long as they could before their waiter came back with their bill. He glanced over at it on the table and reached out to take it.
"Hm. Salad. I don't know if I have the money for that."

He had quite pretty eyes. She liked them.
. . .
And she grabbed his hand before he could take the bill away. Though she was glad that he was going to take it.
"I thought I was paying."

He paused, her hand on his now. It was soft and warmer than his. His hands always seemed to be cold, though. Poor circulation or something. Hazel eyes trailed up her arm and back to her face.
"You really think I'd let you?"
He didn't move his hand.

"I don't know you well enough to just say yes or no. But no."
She waited a bit to move her hand, bringing it up to brush her hair behind her ear again. Nonchalant about it. His hand was cold, but she didn't care much about that.

He chuckled, taking the check and laying out the money. It really wasn't bad.
"You know I can't let you walk back to your dorm alone then, right?"

She watched him, rather amused by it all. This was actually rather fun. Not what she really expected her day to turn into.
"I suppose you can't."

It was fun. Brin rather enjoyed people. This way at least. Otherwise he wished they would just stay out of his way. It was probably just as bad as all of his other habits he had had to kick, the flirting and sleeping around, but he couldn't help it. He liked it. It felt good and really Brin could be rather monogomous if given the chance. He might like a relationship. Something long term, having someone you could really trust and depend on. He needed that.
He didn't think it actually exsisted. So, on the outside he told himself it was just nice to have someone to screw without having to go looking. What? He'd dated exclusively before.
He chuckled.
"Unless of course you want to just sit here forever."

"I wouldn't mind, really. But I think they'll close eventually."
She chuckled a bit, keeping on the cute. Sheena dated on occasion. Not too many guys, though. Afterwards she liked to keep them around as friends. Unless of course the breakup was harsh. Then no one wanted that. She figured it beat sleeping around with random guys to have one nighters with her ex's. Why not? It didn't hurt anyone.

He nodded, chuckling again.
"Well, if you ever want to see your books again..." he grinned and threw her a wink, grabbing the books as he got up. He could wait.

She watched him for another moment before rolling her eyes and sliding out of her seat. After brushing herself off, she picked up her own stack of books and looked at him expectantly.
"If I ever want to see my books again?"
A smile.
"What do I have to do?"

He shrugged a bit, heading out. No, he didn't know where he was heading with this but he figured he could wing it pretty easily. He was already done with his homework and he was having a good day.
"Right now? Let me walk you back to your dorm."
And that was all he had to say on that.
