She probably shouldn't have trusted him so personally but as a like mind she couldn't help it. She liked being around someone who cared as much about her plants as she did.
She walked over to her gardening desk to grab a pair of clippers and a pot before walking over to kneel in front of the plant she did have to give him a little piece of.

Aldrick watched her, not too far away. He knew how to keep space when he should. She was his teacher and their relationship was entirely professional. She was helping him achieve his goals. He had the utmost respect for her.
Plus she was giving him plants. So he could wait.

Good boy.
Carefully she took a piece of the plant, moving it to the pot so that she could give it to Aldrick to grow his own. He couldn't have the whole thing but she knew he knew full well how to transplant. She smiled, silently thanking it before she stood up and walked back over.
She held it out but wasn't ready to let go just yet.
"You promise you will take good care of it?"

Of course he knew how to transplant it. He would take good care of it. He always did when it came to plants. There was nothing anyone could do to make his mistreat it.
"On my life."
Of course he meant it.

She smiled, holding it out further.
"I know."
She didn't need to lecture him, he'd heard it all before.

He took it from her. Not so much holding it carefully as correctly. He knew what to do with it.
"Anything else?"

She let him have it, shaking her head a little sadly.
"Not that's fully grown. You know I have to let some of plants go sometimes."

He nodded, chuckling a bit. Really he was just pushing his luck.
"Thank you."
He didn't expect any more than what he had. If he had expected that at all.

She nodded, brushing a bit of hair away with a still dirty hand. Face smudges? Always.
"I hope that helps a little."

"It does, thank you."
The smudges seemed to be a part of her. Whatever.
"If anything happens I will tell you."

"Alright."
Awkward as ever she stood in front of him. Really the next move was his. Now that the situation was social she was rather at a loss.
"I'm... glad I could help."

He didn't really have anything else to go on. He just wanted to get back and get his plants in order.
"So. Thank you. I should go."

She nodded, yet again.
"Alright, I'll see you in class."
She couldn't help but smile a bit, as if she was making a joke.
"Don't forget to do your homework."

Tch.
"I would never."
He rolled his eyes, heading to the door. Aldrick gave her a bit of a wave. Since he figured it was polite.
"Thank you."
And he was out. Heading back to his dorm.

She chuckled, watching him leave. She knew she would win that round, she always did.
Against her better judgment, she waved back, watching him leave.
...
Back to what she was doing.
