He was kind of mean. And she liked it. All geniuses should be a little different, that's what she thought. Plus he had the right to be arrogant.
"Has anyone ever gotten hurt?"

"Not too bad. Yet."
He was mean. He wasn't being mean to her though. Just in general. It was how he worked. Something she'd need to get used to if she planned to bug him.

Please, like he could get her to go away now.
"Like what?"
She leaned forward, obviously very interested.
"Professor Suzuki won't tell me."

"Why do you need to know?"
He played absently with his quill.
"If Professor Suzuki won't tell you, maybe you don't need to know."

The new look on her face obviously read that she was afraid he wasn't going to tell her now. It was almost a pout. Almost.
"She's a teacher, she's not allowd to~ I just want to know~"

"Which do you want to know? What hurt has happened, or what plant caused it?"
He could tell the look. And he found it amusing.

Her big blue eyes widened again, just enough to always show him she was excited and intrigued.
"Both."

"Stupid students have been bit, poisoned, occasionally bruised and once or twice knocked unconscious. All by various plants. Most were their own fault."
Did he sound bored? He thought they were idiots, so yes.

"Wow..."
She sat back to think about it for a moment before looking back up at him.
"Do you get to take care of carniverous plants? None of the Professors will even let us near them yet."

"Not really. Well, not yet. We've been introduced to them, but haven't been able to really handle them."
He shrugged.
Oh how he planned on growing some. It would be fantastic.

She sighed a bit, slumping until her propped up arm held her chin up.
"It's going to be forever then."
She paused, before grinning a bit, perking up and looking at him.
"But I bet you've done some stuff, right?"

"Done some stuff? Such as?"
He may or may not have understood her meaning. But that was up to her to interpret.

"Just 'cuase you've never handled them in class doesn't mean you never have, right?"

He shrugged a bit.
"I may have before."

She quirked en eyebrow lightly. She didn't believe his modesty.
"May have?"
