She couldn't help but get excited about that. That meant she had one more year to talk to him about this stuff. That meant nearly two years.
"And then what?"

She didn't have the time if he didn't give it to her.
"Then I go get a job."
He shrugged a bit.
"Then I do what I want to."

"What kind of job?"
Good luck shaking her.

He shrugged, once again.
"I'm unsure. Maybe I'll just work on cross breeding."

She grinned.
"That would be cool."
Everything he said was cool and perfect and awesome. She had definitely made the right choice in talking to him.

He nodded. It would be cool.
And that was it. It was time for him to head to class.
"Well, as fun as this was. I need to go."
He stood, grabbing his things.

She blinked, looking up at him, obviously surprised.
"What?!"
She eyed her lunch and cursed under her breath before standing herself.
"Which way are you going?!"

Somehow he knew she would do that. Try and follow him.
"I have to go back to my dorm. Then to class. It's going to take too long."

Damnit. He was right.
She stood where she was, fretting internally and finally huffing.
"Yeah but-"

"I have to go."
. . .
"It was nice meeting you."
He gave a bit of a wave, turning to go. And, of course, walking.

She nodded and watched him go. She hadn't eaten lunch and now he was leaving. But she had met him and that was a huge deal. Besides, she knew he ate lunch at this time.
She grinned, calling after him.
"See you!"
And, grabbing her bag she hurried off, taking the salad with her. She would have to eat it either way. She didn't believe in wasting food. Oh she had to tell Valentine. She couldn't wait.

See you? He understood that english. That meant she planned on being back in his life. That was...fantastic. Really. Ugh.
He didn't really have to go to his dorm. It was just his excuse.
It worked.
