After his drink with Skye at the Three Broomsticks Sindri made his way around town. Finding Honeydukes rather quickly. He spent a good amount of time in there, buying quite a few things. When he came out he was one bag heavier and a couple galleons and sickles lighter.
He visited the post office to see the owls. (Which were adorable by the way.) He bought two new quills as well. Then wandered around before finding himself at a bookshop he'd never been into before.
And, being the curious little bugger that, he decided to go in. Maybe they'd have a good divination book he could send to his mother. Something new. Or useful in some manner. Either way.
So, licorice wand in mouth, he made his way into the store, half lidded eyes scanning their surroundings.

As long as he could remember, Avery's parents had owned the only bookstore in Hogsmeade. In fact, they had owned it since before they took him home to their little house down the way. Before he was old enough to go to school he was always in the store, doing odd jobs like sweeping, cleaning, and organizing books. About when he turned fourteen he started working during holidays and then, after graduation, he was hired full time. He's been there ever since, living in the apartment upstairs that used to belong to a former employee.
Today he was working, just like any other day, high on a ladder to clean up a mess he didn't even understand. Who knocked over books eight feet up? Sighing softly he reached up to brush his brown (today) hair out of his face and grab for another book to move. He wasn't in full wizard garb, even in a magical town the younger generations steered away from it. He wasn't in anything special either. Jeans, an brown open sweater over a sleeveless top, comfortable and warm.
...was that the door? He didn't turn around to check. He wasn't hidden behind anything or anything, just trying to get the last three books in place.
"Just a second~"

All Sindri saw was the back of some person wearing jeans and a brown sweater. With brown (Today, apparently) hair. It didn't phase him much. What would about it? Just some employee. He liked people, and he was really nice to them, but that didn't mean he got all up in arms when he saw them. When they talked they talked. Obviously they (Assumed male by voice) were busy.
"S'okay~"
No, he didn't take the licorice out of his mouth. He was bomb like that. Turning to the side a bit he checked one of the shelves. Just looking for anything good.

Finishing up, finally, he made his way back down the ladder, carefully placing his feet so he didn't fall. Hitting the floor from the top of the ladder would not be okay. Probably knock him out. Oh well, at least there was someone else in the shop to know he was dead on the floor.
He made it to the bottom, pausing to catch his breath and turn the customer who's back was to him. Male, he had decided as well. He had nice hair. Avery threw on a friendly smile, flipping a bit of hair, slightly wavy, out of his eyes.
"Can I help you find something?"

Sindri wouldn't let him die. He specifically didn't let people die around him. It was bad for his karma. Plus messy and uncomfortable.
Hm?
He blinked, turning around.
"Not really. Jus' looking."
That was about the time that it dawned on him just how cute this shopkeep was. The sweater looked good on him. Worked good. Very nice with his hair. Very cute hair....Very cute.
Oh right. He smiled back.

The customer turned around and Avery found himself pausing to blink. He was cute? Had he seen himself lately? The hair, the piercing, the sexy eyes, adorable licorice wand still in his mouth... He snapped himself out of it, realizing he was staring.
"Oh, um..."
He reached up, fiddling with his hair a bit as he smiled back.
"Well, if you need me just let me know."

Heh. He smiled a bit more.
"Of course. Um. Got any good divination books?"
Sindri hadn't noticed the momentary pause. He was too busy remarking in his head how cute he was. Sindri appreciated cuteness. Really he did. Though he did pull the licorice wand out out of his mouth. It may have been half missing...

He could leave it in. Really, he didn't mind.
Hearing him talk and watching him move forced him to blink himself out of staring. Chances were this was a student. It had to be if he'd never seen them before. (Most students just went to the school library and he knew everyone else in town.)
"Oh! Yeah!"
Heh.
"You were pretty close."
Letting go of his hair he slipped past him, unable to help glancing up on him as he got close. He really was just a couple of shelves over.
"Right over here."

Licorice wand in hand he watched the new man. The attractive one.
"I was?"
Didn't really surprise him. He just needed to say something. So he didn't look like a total idiot. Not that he was afraid of that, it was just nice not to seem incompetent.
"Thanks."
Heh. He gave him another smile. Sindri wondered momentarily how old he was. He couldn't be too much older than him. Obviously older though. He worked here. That meant he wasn't in school. Plus he looked older. But he just couldn't figure out how much...

Actually, not counting his years in school, Avery had been working here for seven years. Almost half of Sindri's life. ...He was going to think that way.
Fiddling absently with one of his sleeves, he made his way over to the respective shelf, looking up at it before looking back to the him.
"Anything special?"

It still wasn't half. Think about that. He was ten seven years ago. Not seven. He wasn't a tiny kid. Nothing to worry about.
Hm?
He turned his head to look over at the cute store clerk. The very cute store clerk. Had he said something? Oh. Right.
"Not sure. Something...new. I don't really know. It's for my mom, not me."
. . .
"Though I might read it too..."

Hands on his hips, he smiled up at him. It was cute. Divination book? He'd never even taken a Divination class before.
"Well, what would your mom... and you like to read about?"

Cute? Not what he aimed for (not that he aimed) but he'd take it. Sindri paused, looking up at the books. Musing out loud.
"Not palm reading. Not tarot. Not tea leaves. Maybe Astrology. Maybe Augury. Maybe Geomancy. Maybe Oneiromancy. Not Arithmancy. Maybe Scrying, or Pyromancy."
Hm. He wasn't sure.

Okay so cute was a blanket word. He was a very sexy, half-lidded boy, age or not. Something about him was just intriguing. The way he spoke and more than anything the way he held himself. What? He was allowd to be attracted, not like anything was going to come of it. Avery had come to terms with the fact that there weren't really any other men around here that had... well, the same tastes as him and it wasn't something you could just ask. He could look. That was good enough, right?
He was talking again and the shorter snapped himself back to listening. Too bad he didn't understand a single thing he just said. Avery would have liked to say he was one of those guys that worked in a bookstore and read all the time and knew everything about everything but... well...
He blinked, glancing at the shelf and then back to him again. He didn't really mean to look so confused.
"...what?"

That reaction...was just way too cute. This guy was really cute. He'd have to get a name. It couldn't hurt, right?
. . .
"Oh. Right. She's a Divination Professor. So....yeah. I don't know."
Sindri couldn't help but grin a little, sheepishly rubbing the back of his head. (No, he wasn't sheepish. But hey.)
. . .
"I'm Sindri."
