He smirked a bit. The closest thing to a wide smile she'd get.
"Only when necessary."
To prove his point, as attractive as that had been, he ordered himself another double. Fully intent on showing her up even more.

She smirked right back. True, this was costing her money but it was worth it. She had some to spare. No, she wasn't super wealthy but she had money to play with.
She ordered herself another.
"If you show up hungover to practice Sterling's going to kill you."
And she knocked it back as well. Sorry, no doubles unless he wanted her on her ass.

"I'm not going to show up hungover. I don't get hungover. You're the none who should be worried."
He didn't want her on her ass, don't worry. He was just starting to feel it again, so he ordered another.
"You ought to pace yourself."

"Mhm. We'll see."
To make a point she ordered another whether Mr. West thought she didn't need that much either. She was only starting to feel it a little. They would set in soon, though, so she did need to be careful.
"You know, I bet if we knocked off Byrne you could be a chaser full time."

"Wouldn't doubt it."
He nodded, letting out a soft chuckle. J.L. ordered another as well, offering it up for a bit of a 'cheers'.
"To Douglas Byrnes bad health."

She giggled softly, yes giggled, tapping his glass with hers and downing it.
"so, what's your majour again?"

And he downed the shot. That would probably be his last shot for a little. Let the alcohol sink in. A bit of a smile graced his lips for a moment, before he spoke again and it vanished.
"Care of magickal creatures."

Was that four for her now? Well, if he was stopping she would too. Her head was starting to spin a bit and she leaned on the counter.
"That's adorable."

"Adorable?"
He sighed, shaking his head.
"I'm going to work with Dragons. That's adorable?"

She nodded, fiddling with her shot glass.
"Yep. You and your dragons are adorable."

"Only little dragons are adorable. The older ones are anything but."
He shook his head, the room finally starting to move.

By now she needed the counter to keep herself from swaying. It was a nice feeling and the smile on her fae seemed like it was there for good now.
"But you think they're cute and you know it."

"Adolescent dragons are cute. Adult dragons are beautiful."
And that was all he had to say on the subject. Ordering himself something much less alcoholic than all his other drinks had been. Something to just keep the edge where it was.

Was he drinking again? Well, then she needed another ale. Thank you Mr. West. She nodded, trying to keep her head from lolling as she did so.
"That's very true. I'd love to see one up close someday."
She nudged his leg playfully with her foot, making a point.

J.L. was sure Mr. West would stop serving her real drinks soon. Or at least he would if he was in his situation.
"I'll see what I can do, alright?"
He chuckled, giving her a nod, and taking a sip of his drink. His eyes scanned the area, watching their team mates. Apparently Kim wasn't winning as much as he'd thought he would.
