Again, business was slow. Cerys hadn't sold or repaired a wand in over a week. She wasn't even really in the mood to make anything. True, she was due to go get materials but Tristan had been on her case lately so any trips meant he might have the audacity to go upstairs when she wasn't there. Just to see, she was sure. No. She was going to stay right here.
Bored as ever, on a fairly warm afternoon, Cerys wandered down the stairs inside. She didn't have any real reason to be coming down besides the fact that it got swelteringly hot upstairs in the heat and she was bored. As usual she was dressed in her typical tight, black dress, heels clicking across the floor as she made her way towards the counter. She grabbed a licorice wand on her way by, taking a decent sized bite. She wasn't sure who was working and as she walked around a shelf toward the front she was already talking.
"What do you guys jack up the heat when I leave the room?"

"Yes. We jack up the heat."
Tristan frowned, leaning on the counter. It was rather warm inside the shop today. Luckily everything was charmed to stay in perfect condition. The chocolates wouldn't melt or anything. Unfortunately, his parents didn't think it was a good idea to charm the rest of the building. Apparently heat was 'good for the soul'. Or some other hippie jargon.
"And we poison all the candy we know are your favorites."
He mentally added that to the list of things she needed to pay for. The list that kept growing, and was mostly in his head. Where she couldn't destroy it like he knew she would.
It was too warm to really be wearing much. Just jeans and a t-shirt. A hat too, because he was lazy this morning. He looked good. But it was lazy.

Ugh. Did it really have to be him? She wanted to talk to Cosette.
Wandering up to the front she took a pointed bite out of the licorice wand and moved to hop up onto the front counter. She crossed one bare leg over the other, looking up at him.
"Where is everyone?"

Yes it had to be him. He was the only one stopping this place from running into the ground.
"School. Day off. Out of town. Me."
Yes, he knew where everyone was. Lucan, His parents, Cosette, himself, and her. Unfortunately. It wasn't that hard to keep tabs. And if Lucan wasn't in school he was going to get his ass kicked. That's just the way it was.
"And what brings you out of your cave?"

She made a face, realizing it was in fact just him. Don't worry, he got another for the cave comment.
Another bite.
"It's too hot to work. Can't you do something about that?"

"I could. But that requires effort. It's too hot for effort."
It was annoyingly true. He made a bit of motion to the open door. That was the extent.
"There's effort."

She frowned, obviously not amused.
"Heat rises."
She was giving him a very pointed look. Well, giving him a look and then taking a bite.

"Then get to lower ground."

She threw him a glare.
"What do you think I'm doing?"

"Stealing candy you can't pay for."
He gave her a very pointed look, right back at all the ones she'd given him.

She quirked an eyebrow, taking a nice big bite.

"Prove my point."
He rolled his eyes, walking around the counter to go fix something off to the side of the store. A second or two later and he came back.
"No business?"

She watched him walk, making a face and shaking her head when he came back.
"Not in a week."

"What the hell?"
He quirked an eyebrow.
"Go break peoples wands."

She frowned a bit, adjusting her position on the counter. This wasn't unusual. No matter who was working this was generally where she sat.
"It doesn't work that way, no matter how much you want my money."
