He didn't really keep a lot. There were a few things in the locker room of his as well. Things he needed there. A few, more personal, items were hidden throughout his stuff. Under his bed and with his clothes. More personal things he didn't need them to know.
"It's true."
The pictures were of people she might remember, barely. His brother, Riley. His cousins, his aunt and uncle. People he cared about. People he chose to remember.

*She thinks she might recognize them* *But before she can ask* *(Or admit that she's peeking)* *She spots his bed* *And his multitudes of blankets and multitudes of pillows* *Smiles* *And walks over* *Taking off her cloak as she moves* *She folds it, setting it on the bed and taking a seat herself* *Now just in her little black dress* *As usual*
*Smiles* *Crossing a leg over the other*
"I like it."

He stood back, letting her look around. Just letting her do as she please. If she did something he didn't like, he would stop her. But he trusted her. Something he didn't do with anyone else...
She moved to the bed. Removed her cloak. Sat down on his bed. Crossing her legs.
"Good. I'm glad I don't have a terrible room."
J.L. was surprised the words came out so well. His mind was elsewhere. Taking things he used to think and twisting them to the present. All centering around the girl he used to know, on his bed, in the barely there black dress.

*Though she was pushing thoughts of her own away earlier* *Now, sitting on his bed, her mind has moved on to just being near him again* *Chuckles*
"So, Care of Magickal Creatures?"

He never expected anything. It was a fleeting thought. One he didn't really consider acting on. One he'd never considered actually acting on.
Heh. He nodded, walking over to sit near her on the bed.
"Yeah. I'm becoming a Dragon Keeper."

*One that he couldn't have acted on considering he was ten.* *And younger.*
*Watches him sit* *Still trying to push away the surealness of it all*
*Her eyes widen* *Staring at him, right back to surprised*
"Really?!"

At the very least he could have kissed her. He never did.
Heh.
He nodded.
"Yeah. I have another year."
Before more training, he's sure. But he'll have his degree and be on his way.

*And not gotten much in return.* *As much as she loved him.*
*Heh*
"Wow..."
*Shakes her head, brushing her hair away again* *It never helps*
"I can't believe how grown up you are..."
*Smiles, sheepishly.*
"I"m sorry. I keep saying that."

It wasn't really fair.
"You need to stop."
Heh. Shakes his head, messing with the blanket.
"Obviously I've grown. You have too. It's been years."

*Blinks* *Confused by what he means* *And then he explains*
"I know it's just-!"
*INCREDIBLE* *This is Jacob!* *Her little Jacob* *All grown up and what appears to be happy*
*Heh* *Looks down* *Smiles* *And nods* *She'll stop.*

He reached up to mess with his hair instead of the blanket. Happy was a relative term. He was much happier than he used to be. But everything was not okay in his world. His past was too much of a secret. It made things difficult.
He chuckled a little, letting go of his hair. After a moment, he shrugged off his jacket, tossing it to the side of the bed. Now that his body was acclimated to the room.
"I'm not sure if we have a lot to talk about or not."

*She glances up in time to see his coat disappear* *Which she watches very closely* *Him doing it* *Not the coat* *The coat can go*
*BUT ANYWAY*
*Heh*
"I don't know... I feel like I missed so much. You're doing so well."

The coat didn't go far. The one piece of Dragon clothing he has. Just to the end of the bed. He'll put it back on later.
"I guess."
He shrugged a bit.
"I've been okay. Living with my aunt and uncle until I got here."
Another shrug.
"I didn't want to impose on them any longer."

*She scoots back a bit* *Pulling her legs up next to herself* *To sit more comfortably*
"That's how I was with my Grandmother. She did so much for me."

He nodded, understanding. They were a lot alike. Though not everything worked the same way.
"They took in both of us. Riley and Me." He sighed a bit, hand back up in his hair. "It wasn't really fair to them. They never had a choice. They already had two kids."
J.L. shrugged a bit. It was life. He left them alone so they could live.
