September 16th - Tuesday
Classes were pretty much done for the day, with the usual exceptions. Astronomy and the like. But Herbology was done. Which is why Izzy was walking into the room he knew Erin to be in at this time. Yes it was cold outside. But the inside wasn't too bad, so he left his coat back at his dorm. And he had warm food with him. So he was warm, t-shirt and all.
"Erin~ Have you eaten?"

A new approach, clever. Normally Izzy asked her to go get food, this time he was bringing it? She thought after two or three years she knew all of his tricks. Apparently she was wrong.
After having breakfast with Aqui, Erin spent the rest of the day teaching and between classes tending to her plants. It was a fairly normal day. Nothing interesting just like her number reading friend had said. As the sun started rise higher in the sky the greenhouse got warmer and warmer and Erin eventually took off the sweater she was wearing over her dress. Now it was just the pink dress she really didn't even really remember she was wearing.
She was leaning up, pruning a tree across the room when Izzy walked in and offered her food. She blinked, glancing over her shoulder. Then, she sighed, dropping back down onto the soles of her feet.
"Isadore, I told you," she walked over to her 'desk' to put her sheers down. She liked to do things the old fashioned way. "I am not going out to dinner with you. I... have a lot of things to do here and you know I don't like leaving my plants behind."
She was starting to ramble..

He raised a hand to silence her.
"You don't have to leave." He held out the bag of food with his other hand and grinned. "I brought you dinner."
He'd thought about doing this before, it wasn't a new idea. He was just busy generally. But today was a decently empty day. So he had time. And he used it.

He raised his hand and she shut her mouth. Her mind was racing for an excuse but she couldn't think of one. She had to think of one! What had she just said? Did any of that work? No, he pretty much covered it all by bringing the food.
When was the last time she ate..?
No! She had to come up with an excuse.
It must have looked pretty strange to Izzy, watching her stand, not answering, conflicted inside her mind while she frantically searched. Could he tell that was what she was doing?

He knew. Which was why he just walked to the table and started setting up. It wasn't anything really fancy. Just simple things. Salad, chicken, rolls, and wine. That made him smile. The wine. He'd considered not bringing it. But come on. Besides, juice wasn't as good. And soda was just unromantic. And red wine was good for you.

She snapped back to it, looking around to find him setting up the food on her desk and couldn't stop herself from speaking up.
"Oh, no I eat in the flower garden."
She even pointed. And then kicked herself.
"Wait! No, I mean... d-don't you have quidditch practice or something?"

"Okay." he smiled, putting the things back in the bag. Fully intending on going into the other room. Hm? he shook his head.
"Already did it. Sterlings on the fritz so it was off." He shrugged, walking past her to go into the other room.

She mentally kicked herself a few times before hurrying after him into the other room. She was supposed to tell him to get out but then she started talking again before she could do anything about it.
"What's he upset about?"

"We lost the last game." He shrugged, setting up the food again. Where he assumed it should go. "Not even our fault. Keely got knocked off her broom and they caught the snitch. We were ahead in points. They only won by twenty anyhow."

Yes, that was the right table. This room was one off her main greenhouse that the students very rarely went into. So, she turned it into one of her personal rooms. This was where she ate, hence the nice garden table in the middle with a pair of chairs. There was a sink off to the side that she used to wash dishes and get water to water the plants as well as a cabinet that held some of her dishes. The room was flowers and fruit plants, the room through that door there had vegetables and other edible plants. There was a bench farther past the table for sitting and just taking it in. All in all it was a very pretty room and one she quite enjoyed being in.
Erin walked over, stopping next to the table he was setting up the food at. He distracted her, or else she would be telling him to stop.
"Is she alright?"

He nodded, still setting things up. He wanted everything to look good. She couldn't tell him to leave if it looked good. And he knew it. She would feel bad. Something he liked about her. Her empathy.
"She wasn't too far off the ground, she only rolled. But it took enough time for her to get back to her broom that their seeker caught it."

"Oh... Well, I'm sorry."
She really was. She knew how Alexander felt when he lost a game.
But back to the matter at hand. She eyed the food on the table.
"Where did you get all this?"

He shrugged. There. Finished.
"It's no big. I mean, we would have beat them otherwise."
Then he smiled.
"Where? Where do you think?"

Her brow furrowed lightly. She was making her confused puppy face and there was nothing she could do about it. Alexander said she just looked that way.
She shook her head.
"I don't know.. where?"

"I made it." He grinned, then amended,"Except the wine. And rolls....I don't bake. And I suppose salad isn't really making. So I made chicken. Er, cooked."
