She blinked, actually very surprised.
"You... made it? Really?"
She almost never cooked. Everything she ate she got here and it was usually raw. She made sure she got all the nutrients she needed but it was still off of these plants.
"For me?"
She couldn't kick him out now. Not after he went to all that trouble. So, she sighed, defeated, and took a seat.

He nodded, still smiling.
"Yes, for you." Because I love you. That was the underlying tone. Izzy took the seat across from her. "Do you like red wine?"

Erin nodded, she actually did.
"You didn't have to do this, Isadore."

He continued smiling, and shrugged. Then poured them both drinks.
"I wanted to."

She smiled a bit. She didn't mean to and she quickly covered it up by taking a sip of wine.
"It looks very good."
She chuckled a bit.
"I haven't had chicken in a long time."

"I wouldn't expect so. I think chickens would probably try to eat all the plants." He shook his head. She was eating dinner with him. That was exciting.

She chuckled a little and nodded.
"That's probably true."
She took a bite of her salad, poking at it a bit. She hadn't meant to let this happen. It wasn't aweful but she wasn't sure what to say.
"Did you.. get all your homework finished?"

Another smile. Izzy loved it when she laughed. Even if it was small. One of the best sounds ever.
He nodded. "Yes, I did."
Not really what he wanted to talk about. They were having dinner. Togethor. Homework was not dinner conversation. He sipped some of his wine.
"So, Erin, where were you born?"

She knew it wasn't dinner conversation but she wasn't sure what to say. This was al very strange. She knew she should be stopping it but he went through the trouble. It was too late now.
"Oh, um..."
She supposed that was better dinner conversation. She tried to ignore him using her first name, as usual.
"I was born in Kobe. In Japan."

"Really? Then why are you here? And...um...your name is Erin." Which in Isadorian means 'erin isn't a japanese name'.

She couldn't help but smile a little.
"My father is from here. My mom actually met him when she came here on a school exchange trip. My brother and I were born in Japan but they moved back here to raise us."
She ate some more of her salad and actually chuckled a bit.
"My brother's middle name is Japanese, so in Japan and with our Japanese relatives they call him Masaki. They call me Erina."

"I see. That makes sense." He smiled, again. She was openly telling him things. He hadn't really asked for all of that and she had just told him. "Which do you prefer? Erin or Erina?"

She shrugged a little, still eating. He distracted her with food. It wasn't even fair. She had sort of forgotten she wasn't supposed to be doing this.
"I'm used to Erin here."

That was the point. And she wasn't not supposed to be doing this.
"I think the only people who call me Isadore are you, my parents, and grandparents."

She blinked, tilting her head unconciously.
"Don't your other professors?"
