He was just an angry guy. Maybe angry wasn't the appropriate word. Kaimi never thought that it was fair, Keahi being a wizard. Genetically they were almost the same person. Almost. But Keahi was a wizard, and Kaimi wasn't. In the end he hated his brother. Not because of anything Keahi did himself. But the extra attention from his parents, going off to school, it all bugged him. And Keahi knew it, thought Kaimi never spoke to him about it. Their relationship was...strained, at best. Kaimi never sent him letters. The only time they spoke was when Kaimi needed something when Keahi went home.
"Yeah. Probably."

She nodded. She knew what Keahi was thinking and she knew it was time to change the topic.
"I went looking for you at the quidditch pitch yesterday. ...you weren't there."
Obviously.

"Hm?" He looked up at her. Glad to be out of his thoughts. "Oh. I went into town. Probably should have told you, huh? Sorry."

"You went into town?! Without me?!"
She threw on a pouty face, huffing and holding her pillow close. She intended to make him feel bad.

"I'm sorry~ I had to!" Not really. He was just in an extremely bored mood and wanted a pastry. "I promise I'll tell you next time~"

Hmph.
She didn't believe him and meant for him to know it. He wasn't out of the water just yet.

"I bought you a sweet bun~" It wasn't true, he just brought one back.

She knew it wasn't for her, but she sighed.
"Fine~"
She kept the face on, but a little more sad than angry now. Not for him, but for what she was about to talk about.
"I was going to buy strudel the other day in the commons but my books got angry. I never did get it."

"It's in my room. I'll get it later." He nodded. Hm? Strudel? Oh.
"Why not?"

She made a face, already blushing from just remembering.
"I dropped them everywhere and they tried to run off."

"That sucks. Lemme guess, you were picking them up alone in a crowd of people?" Again.

She poked her tongue out at him.
"No~"
She would have done it again, just for good measure, but then her cheeks started warming up again and she glanced off to the side.
"Some boy helped me."
A couple of times.

"Thats a first. Usually you drop things around a bunch of pricks." Huh. He started tapping his foot against his leg. Habit. "That was nice of him."

She nodded, fiddling with her pillow.
"And he helped me find my notebook... at the quidditch pitch. It ran off again.."

"You secretly dating this guy or something?" The idea was absolutely ridiculous. It made him smile a little, still tapping his foot.
