He may have been gracious for the help. He may have even thanked him. After all, the book would probably help a lot. But he had to go and ruin that. And call him pixie boy. It caught him a bit off guard. And made him frown a bit.
"Pixie boy?"

He simply chuckled and threw him a wink. Along with his very own smoke exhalation. He got back to his own work.

". . ."
He was supposed to say something. Something witty and mean. Something that would make him respect him. And never call him pixie boy. Then he said...
Nothing.
Absolutely nothing. It didn't come to him. He couldn't bring up the wit. All he could do was sit there for a second, then take his paper and the book. And try to write the answers.

He heard the nothing, and didn't respond.
Well, not for a bit. Not until he leaned over to take a bite of pudding, and then he didn't look up at him.
"It's a pain reliever."

Flipping through the book. Scribbling things he found down on the assignment. And it still took forever! Huh?
He blinked, looking up at him.
"What?"

He glanced up at him and took his sweet time removing the cigarette from his mouth, adjusting it in his hand while he reached forward to tap at the part he was having trouble with.
"The leaves are used in pain relief potions."

"Oh. Thanks." Why was he being nice to him? It was a bit odd. Nice. But odd. He scribbled the answers down. Trying not to look back up at the user sitting by him.
He wasn't going to lie. The cigarette just made him even more h- - orrible?

Yeah, horrible. That was probably it.
And why was he being nice to him? Because he wasn't a bad guy, stupid. That's why.
Leaning back into his chair again, he picked up his pudding, eating it rather than doing his work.

"So you're done being sick?" He didn't look up. Or stop flipping through the pages of the book. It was his turn to pretend to be cool. With his nonchalant tone.

He chuckled a bit, looking up again to watch him. The 'cool' was cute.
"I don't get sick. I think you're delusional."

He wasn't going for cute. He was going for nonchalant. COOL.
"I must have mistaken you for some other person then."

He chuckled again, blowing smoke at the book he was obviously trying to read.
"Probably."

"Must be."
He was out of pudding and that was not okay. Without a word, he stood up, pushing his chair back and taking the container with him.
"Pudding?"
No, he wasn't offering now, but he was willing to go get him some. He showed him the empty container to show what he meant.

"Of course." Hm? He glanced up at him. "No thanks."
It was nice of him to offer, but pudding wasn't Keahi's thing. Plus he had to focus. Which he was NOT doing.
