September 18th - Thursday
Brin was only sick for one day. That's all he was ever really sick for. The next morning he rolled out of bed as usual and went apologizing to all of his professors. As usual they understood. He picked up his homework, talked a few of them into extra credit and now a few long days of hard work later he was in the commons well, still hard at work.
Okay, so first he had to drop his books off at a table by the wall and get in line. he always worked better with pudding.
Let's take a minute to talk about pudding, shall we? Brin loved pudding. In fact, he was more addicted to pudding than anything else he was addicted to. And no one knew that better than Aldrick. But this isn't about his roommate it's about his beautiful pudding. Any kind of pudding. He would even eat tapioca if he had to. Not that he really liked it as much as the others. Chocolate to be exact. Chocolate pudding was the most amazing thing ever invented in the history of the universe. Muggle and magical.
Oh, it was his turn.
He grabbed his pudding and a spoon, heading back to his table.

Pudding. Not really something Keahi enjoyed all that much. He didn't hate it, though. That didn't mean that he liked it. Just something he didn't need to survive.
Greatest invention had to be the television. No. The computer. The laptop to be more specific. Something Keahi missed dearly. One thing he hated about the wizarding world was their apparent grudge against electronics. None of them worked. None. It's like they were trying to prove a point. A really dumb point. And Keahi had to suffer for it. Like right now.
He found a table no one was sitting at. Well there were books but the table was big enough for it not to matter if one more person was sitting there. So he took his seat and pulled out his homework for the next class. It was half done. Herbology. Woo.
He moved his hair out of his eyes, tucking a small bit of it under his hat and starting his work. His colored contacts were starting to itch a little, but whatever. Homework. Right. Ugh.

He thought abut going back for a second, but decided he would just go back later. And he would go back later. Already eating he slipped his way through the crowd, not really bothering to watch where he was going. They'd move.
And back to his table, where... blink.
"Um..."
He pulled the spoon out of his mouth, already sitting down.
"Can I help you?"

The leaves are used to make... His brow furrowed. Used to make what? Fuck. Racking his brain for the answer, he scratched a circle doodle onto the side of the paper. Godda-
"Huh?" He shouldn't have looked up. Really. All it did was make him look like an idiot. A blinking idiot. "Er...No?"

He blinked a couple of times, unconsciously raising his spoon back to his mouth. It didn't make it, though. He just realized who he was.
"It's you!"
He pointed his spoon at him accusingly, pudding still sitting on the end.
"The hell are you doing at my table?"

He blinked a bit more, more brow furrowage.
"I didn't know it was your table." A bit of a frown. "And I'm doing homework."

He frowned, not pulling the spoon out of his face. Well, not until he noticed there was pudding on it. Then he moved it so he could eat it.
"What class?"
Picking up a book, he looked down to find the page he needed, obviously over trying to make him move.

A glance up, shrug, and back down at his paper.
"Herbology. I have it next. And need to finish it."

He found his page and left it there so he could dig in his bag for some parchment. And his cigarettes. Sitting back up, he pulled one out and his lighter out of his pocket, resting it in his mouth. He didn't pull it out to speak.
"Which class?"
A quick flick with his lighter and he went about lighting his cigarette, not taking his eyes off of him.

Another glance up. Now he had a cigarette in his mouth. That was h- -
"Healing plants." Yes, he knew there was a with in the title. He didn't care. Knowing the name of the class wasn't going to get the answers to appear on the parchment. Keahi wished. God. That would be amazing.

He took a drag, getting comfortable in his chair before letting it out in a long sigh. He needed this.
Okay, back to bright kid.
"Never took that one."

He didn't bother looking up. Instead choosing to frown at the paper.
"It's kicking my ass."

He took another drag and took him in for a moment, before sitting up. He let the smoke drift on its own as he spoke.
"Let me see."

An eyebrow quirk, and a glance up. Last time he checked this was probably a bad idea. Too bad for Keahi he was a rather trusting guy. So he slid the paper over.
It was all common sense, he was sure of it. It had to be. Otherwise it wouldn't be so damn difficult.

He took the paper, hazel eyes scanning it for what he was doing and where he got stuck. After a bit of reading a glance at the books he was reading, he set it back down, leaning over to dig in his bag.
"When at first you don't succeed, pixie-boy-"
He leaned back up and dropped another book in front of him, a book on healing potions. He smirked through another drag as he leaned back into his chair.
"Try another book."
