"Stop calling me pixie. It's Keahi. Not pixie." It just came out, without him even looking up. Defending himself or something. Not that pixie was extremely insulting. He was brightly colored after all.
"And I'll be fine. I'm not stupid all the time." Partially true. Sometimes things proved easy. Sometimes.

He stopped and blinked for a moment or two. Then, a bit or a smirk.
"Brin."
He pulled the cigarette out of his mouth.
"Did I tell you that before? My name's Brin."

"You may have." He was pretty sure he did. Doesn't mean he really remembered it. You tend to forget names of people you assume you'll never see again.

And he was out. Slinging his bag over his shoulder and heading off, leaving his book with Keahi.

He watched him walk off. And realized that either he would have to find him again or never return the book. Right...Back to homework.
