September 23rd - Tuesday
Heading Towards arithmancy class Birdy knew she had already missed half of it. It's why she wasn't running. Eight o'clock is early, okay? Especially for a class you're lousy at. Her grades were falling and she knew it, but it still wasn't going to make her run. Yes, Professor Gaikotsu was trying to help, but she had decided she wasn't going about ten minutes ago. Now she was just walking. There wasn't really enough time to go back to her dorm before her next class so she was just slowly but surely making her way out of the building.
Dressed in her usual jeans and zip up sweater, the lanky blonde adjusted her bag on her shoulder, musing to herself about how this quarter was already going. Defense was a lost cause. There was no way she was going to pass.
Oh well.
Merlin she was tired...

Walked all the way to class. Waited for the teacher. All that time. And they were a fucking no show. Wonderful. Just bloody wonderful. And now he was trudging groggily back to the pitch. No one should be there. Maybe he'd just take a nap. He really needed to fix his sleeping schedule. In the past 48 hours he must have had...what? Three? Four hours of sleep? Maybe a nap.
Yawn. A rather large one at that. Today wasn't starting well.

She could empathize.
A little bit ago she shuffled past the class she wasn't going to and was now heading out the other side. Her other classes were across the school a bit so she decided to at least start walking. Maybe. Maybe she was just going to go back to her dorm and sleep for the day. Denise would give her hell but she was tired and uninspired for her day.
Rubbing at her eyes a bit, she remembered that she hadn't put any makeup on today. Not that she ever wore much, and was still thinking about it when she sort of bumped someone on her way by. She mumbled a tired sorry and kept walking.

Another yawn. Seriously needed to stop. Maybe he'd just go eat something high in sugar. Or caffeine. Something awakening. Or maybe he'd just run into someone. That sounds like fun. He mumbled back a sorry, still going.
". . ."
And stopped, turning.
"Shouldn't you be in class?"

Food sounded kind of nice...
She stopped. Blinking. Of course she knew that voice. How could she not? But seriously? Here? Did she really have to deal with him when she was skipping class?
Stifling a yawn, she turned around, too tired to really even try to be snappy. Yep. It was Sterling.
"I missed it."

". . .shouldn't it still be going on?"
Tired or not he knew the time. It was something he depended on greatly. He knew how to work around class schedules like a madman.

She frowned, half annoyed, half tired and trying to figure out what he was talking about.
"Why are you here?"

"Professor didn't show up." He shrugged. He didn't even really realize the switch of focus in the conversation. "So I came for nothing."

"Oh."
She supposed that meant that he wasn't just here to harass her. Sometimes she wondered if he sat in his dorm, wherever that was, and just planned up new ways to give her hell. Okay, so she didn't really believe that, but sometimes...
She stifled a bit of a yawn. Were they talking about something?

"If you're not going to class you should go rest up for practice." He could have left her alone about quidditch. But that would have been very un-Sterling of him. Tired or not. His brain was made of Quidditch.

Hm?
She looked up at him, brushing a bit of hair out of her face.
"Oh, I have..."
She waved it off. Apparently her mind was made up. No class today. Sleep time. And as for talking about quidditch? She was fine with it. She wished more of her friends would talk about quidditch.
"What about you?"

"I'll be fine for practice." He shrugged. True, he should nap. But he'd decided on food instead. "I've got too many classes today to slack off."

She snorted a bit, at least awake enough to notice the bags under his eyes. She poked him in the stomach.
"Fine to fall asleep on the pitch?"

He frowned.
"I'm fine and will be fine. Today is no different than any other day.:"
She should see him during finals.

"Uh huh."
She stifled another yawn, trying to keep it together enough to make fun of him.
"So you look like you are dead everyday?"
