Rini was in the library. Big shocker, huh? Really, she wasn't doing anything fascinating. Keahi could imagine she was doing all the fantastic things he wanted but really she did homework. And lots of it.
Dressed in her usual attire, pinks, whites, cute colours, tennis shoes, skirt, though this time her top was just a light, flowery top. She didn't need a sweater. She had Jonas' coat. Jonas' coat that she was trying to return. Really. Okay, so it had been a few days, but she didn't know where to find him! Yesterday she thought about checking in the arithmancy room but she didn't want to bother his teacher by leaving his coat with her. No, she would give it back personally. When she saw him next.
Where was his jacket now? Sitting on the back of her chair. And what was she doing now? Homework remember? Actually, she had gotten bored and was now focusing on her hand in front of her, watching that same black hair crawl over her skin, moving up towards her wrist.

Aldrick went to the library on occasion. Not all the time, like some people, but when he needed to. Or wanted to just sit around and study without interruption. Olivia's interruption was always nice. He wasn't trying to ignore her or anything. If she stopped by and he wasn't there, he was sorry. But he'd pay her back, no worries.
Dressed in his usual attire. Dark clothes (Really, just black). Long sleeve black shirt, pants. He wasn't outside so he didn't need a coat. Dreaded hair as it usually. He looked very usual. But always good. It was just how he did things.
Jonas's jacket didn't matter to him. At all. Jonas who? Anyways.
On his way into the library he looked around, checking the tables for an empty seat. Empty seat near someone he wouldn't kill. Some tables had people he found annoying in them. Except this one. He didn't know this girl. Sort of cute little asian girl. Well, she wasn't sort of cute. She was cute.
"Do you mind if I sit here?"
German accent and all. He wasn't waiting, instead setting his things down already.

Rini wasn't expecting anyone to come near her. Her usual table -the one she was sitting at- was tucked back near the Transfiguration section, out of the way. She liked it. It was private. Sometimes Keahi found her and there was that one time with Jonas, but this was new.
When she heard his voice she jumped in surprise, looking up. The fur on her hand quickly dissapeared as she lost her concentration.
"U-um..."
It was too late for her to say anything. He was already sitting down.

It was cute, in a dorky sort of way, how she jumped. It didn't stop him though.
"If you want me to leave, just say so."
Aldrick was always charming and polite to girls unless they gave him a reason to be less so. He was rarely ever downright rude to girls. Unless they deserved it. But that was a rare situation.
He pulled out his books, flipping them open, and glancing up at the girl again. Waiting for a response.

He hadn't seen it. Not that Rini really cared if anyone saw what she was doing, it was their fault if they didn't understand but still. It was a little odd... Odd ot not, though, Rini was still a girl and she wasn't completely immune to cute boys.
Glancing down after looking for a little too long, she shook her head. He could stay.

He gave a bit of a smile. He really enjoyed that reaction. It was flattering. He enjoyed flattery.
"I'm Aldrick, by the way. And you are?"
He was allowed to be forward. That's what he was. She was cute. He was allowed to talk to cute girls. Asian or not.

...was he talking to her?
She blinked, glancing back up at him. Her name? Normally she would try to ignore whoever was at her table but... well... he was cute. And she liked his accent.
"Rini."
Keahi would be appalled. Or proud. One of the two.

"That's a very cute name. Where is it from?"
Yes. He was talking to her. He was a nice guy. He talked to girls. Especially cute ones. Even asian ones. They were better than certain others.

She blinked, a couple of times, a confused pink already tinting her cheeks. He was catching her off-guard.
"I- It's..."
Well, that wasn't really an easy answer.
"Maybe Japanese..."
She fiddled with her hair a bit, twisting around her finger.

"Maybe?"
He chuckled. This conversation wasn't really exciting him in the least, but it was conversation. As long as he didn't have to be back in his dorm.
"Maybe Japanese?"

And what was wrong with his dorm?
"Um..."
She tugged at the hair a bit more, trying to get her mind wrapped around the spontaneous conversation.
"My mom is Japanese and my dad is Hawaiian."
Heh.
"I... think they made it up..."

Brin.
Not only is she asian but she's a mixed asian. Nice. Less attractive already. Though it's not like he was going to jump in the sack with her or anything.
"A made up name? Very cute."
He wasn't sure if he meant that or not.

Nice.
Actually she wasn't horribly mixed. Her dad moved to Hawaii from Japan. Maybe she said all that wrong...
Her cheeks darkened and she glanced down a bit. Why was he talking to her? This was really not a normal occurance and she didn't know what to say next. Tell him he had a cute name? No, that was stupid. Tell him how incredibly cute he was?
...
Yeah, no.
Rini was still mulling over her next move in her mind when her little pink notebook, ever punctual decided to throw its two cents in. It shifted a bit, moving over closer to Aldrick, nice and discrete before deciding to take a bite out of his hand. It wasn't sure it liked him very much.

She had said it wrong, not that it mattered. He didn't care too much.
The reaction was quite cute. He'd admit to that.
His eyes caught it right before it decided to chomp. Pulling his hand away and giving it a very dirty look. Keeping his hand out of it's reach. Years of caring for plants that tried to eat him had taught him a thing or two about watching out. If it decided to do anything he'd chuck it across the room.
"I believe that's yours."

She almost didn't catch it, too busy trying not to blush and look at him, but the sudden movement caught her eye. Wide-eyed, she snatched it up off the table and hugged it to her chest. It was a good thing he moved his hand, though, she wouldn't have caught it in time.
"Im sorry!"
Pulling it back, squirming she looked down at it. Of course she made sure to hold it closed.
"What is wrong with you?! You can't just go around biting people!"
The other, older books sitting nearby shifted a bit, almost seeming to sigh at it's behavior.
